Biography

Sarah Frances is an accomplished and experienced harpist and teacher, based in Melbourne. She has obtained a Bachelor of Music (Performance) from the University of Melbourne. She has performed as a soloist, and as principal harpist in several orchestras, and toured internationally.

Her creative arrangements and innovative use of sound and electronics pushes the boundaries of harp playing, whilst also making the most of the beautiful classical sound. She takes inspiration from several different styles of music including jazz, classical, contemporary, Celtic and pop-rock. This means that Sarah has the skill and passion to create a wonderful musical experience specifically tailored to your wedding or event.

She is also an enthusiastic and creative teacher, teaching both privately and on staff at various primary and secondary schools. Through this, and by regularly sharing her music with the local community, she aims to make harp music more accessible to people from all different walks of life.

Arts and crafts have always played a big part in Sarah’s life, and she now has a great range of her creations available to purchase including stickers and greeting cards.
